Christmas Cards

Posted on Monday, November 23, 2009 in Personal, Photography

I absolutely love Christmas; therefore, I also love sending Christmas cards to our friends and family. This weekend we took some pictures for our cards, and today I had them printed! I couldn’t be happier with the way they turned out!option 3

10 Things I am Thankful for

Posted on Monday, November 23, 2009 in Personal

I’m following Angelia’s lead on this one. The following are 10 things I am thankful for. (Thanks for the great idea Angelia!)

  1. My salvation – The Lord knows I’m not perfect!
  2. David. He is the most amazing, patient, loving and caring husband on earth.
  3. Our home.
  4. My entire family – All four of them!
  5. My uncanny ability in the kitchen. I just throw things together and they always taste good. I wish I knew how to teach people how to do it!
  6. Coupons – Seriously, coupons make it possible for me to buy certain foods we couldn’t otherwise afford.
  7. My mom. She deserves her own number.
  8. My Aggie experience – without it I wouldn’t be who I am today!
  9. The internet. Where else can you watch TV, download free greeting cards to print, email friends, buy concert tickets and stalk people find old friends on facebook?
  10. Chocolate chip cookies. Seriously, I couldn’t live without them.

I found a recipe for Amazing Peanut Butter Cookies on Little Birdie Secrets today, tweaked it, and started baking! These cookies are amazing. You should definitely try them out!

Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup peanut butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

1 cup milk chocolate chips

Mix ingredients together and bake on a cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 24 cookies.

Tips:

  1. Form cookies with wet hands. This makes it easier to work with the stickyness of the dough.
  2. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 3 to 5 minutes before moving to the cooling rack.
